About the speaker:

James Smith is variously a software engineer, father of two, and technology activist. He’s been involved in Open Source software for many years, and always tries to work on projects that make the world a better place. He works at the Open Data Institute in London, founded the Cleanweb UK meetup group, and runs Something New, a startup political party. He admits he’s not very good at picking small, well-defined problems to attack.
